#1:Timex Men's Expedition Acadia Full Size Watch

As a US Army helicopter instructor pilot, I need a good watch for a low price that I don't have to worry about getting rained on, beat up, scratched, knocked around, dropped and surviving the heat and the cold. It needs to give me military time with an easy to see sweep second hand. It needs to look military with a flat
black case and an olive drab face. It needs to provide me with an easy to see date and the ability to easily stop and restart the time so I can synchronize my time with the mission. It needs to have a comfortable flat black nylon velcro closing band so that it will come away in an emergency but stay firmly fastened on the outside of my flame resistant flight gloves in a 100 knot wind when the doors of my helicopter are removed. It needs to have a guard to protect the crown from snagging on my flight equipment. Sure, I could buy a $300 dollar watch that could do all of that, or, I could buy this watch. Thanks Timex.

 Good watch - great price & good function
Needed to replace smart fitness device with date/day/time display when screen was damaged & they don't repair their $200+ device. This Timex watch fit my needs. Waterproof to 50meters, date display, nylon strap (my experience with leather straps-they stink after a time of getting exposed to sweat). Past experiences with sending Timex watches for repairs has always been good, fast return of product & they look brand new. I also need the indigo feature for seeing the display in no or low light. Cost was 50% less than buying the same watch for any of the box stores in my area. I might purchase some 3rd party nylon wrist bands later. For now am very pleased with my watch as is.

Solid and beautiful for the price
I have had 4 or 5 nicer watches fall into my lap, I had never bought one. The feature I wanted most was illumination in an analog watch. I also chose this watch because of its compact size, I can't stand gaudy large watches that restrict wrist movement. Typical amazon prime experience, came in less than 48 hours. Looks beautiful, and the strap is nice, it's nylon on the outside but has a strip of leather on the inside. It has 2 "keepers" for the tail end of the watch to make sure the extra part of the band doesn't flop around. When you tap on the lense it does have a cheap sound to it, and the body feels quite plasticky. The screen lights up nice and bright when you press the adjuster button. It did come with a plastic clip under the adjuster, so the hands were not running while packaged and I know the battery is fresh. Overall I'm very happy. Only complaint is when lit up, there is a small part at the bottom of the face that doesn't light up, minor issue.

Great cheap watch
Fantastic watch, had it for about 8 months and I wear it to work every week day. It is very light but suprisingly sturdy, I work in a metal shop as a welder and it has held up way better than I expected. Other reviews lamented the plastic face instead of quartz, but I think the plastic helps keep the price low, which is what I wanted it for. The back light for checking the time at night is pretty decent too.

Only possible downsides are it is quite loud, I can hear it from across my bedroom when trying to sleep, but I prefer some white noise so I'm alright with it. Also the nylon band gets stinky after awhile, but they always do, and it is easily remedied with some light dish soap and water.

A rugged watch great for daily wear
I have worn this watch every day since I purchased it several months ago. The watch face and band have stood up to daily showers, trips to the ocean, a Texas summer in the sun, and countless scrapes against walls, trees, and all manner of other bumpy objects. The face is large and easy to see, but not obnoxious, obtrusive, or attention-grabbing. The Indiglo light is plenty bright to see in the middle of the night, and the time and date are easy to set (but I have small fingers). The hands don't glow as brightly as I would like, but they are still visible at night.

Overall, if you are looking for a watch for daily wear that will fit with just about any casual situation to outfit, this watch is a great choice.

A low price watch that has worked very well for me.
I bought two of these, one in 2012 and again in 2014. I used them on each of my commuter bicycles strapped to the handlebars, in all kinds of weather and I never worried about them being stolen because of their low price. Now it's 2018 and I no longer bike commute but I still have them both and they are still accurate within approx 2 seconds per week. I have several other watches that are much more expensive and much dressier, but these are still the watch I put on when I'm working with my hands or when I just feel like wearing an extremely light watch (I replaced both bands recently with nato style which are super comfy).
