Definitely recommend
Very nice watch and completely worth the price. Been a while since I've owned a watch and I wanted something that was very casual yet equally professional. It has a very nice weight to it barely noticeable and a great features is that it doesn't hurt the top of your hand when you left your wrist upward.

A great watch for smart people.
Got this on sale - incredible value for the money. Had an almost identical one that lasted a couple of decades. Hope this one does the same. I wouldn't have gotten rid of the old one, but the crystal had gotten scratched and I finally cracked it while changing the battery. In addition to keeping good time and seeming to run on the same battery forever, these watches have a feature you won't find in a $5,000.00 Rolex - no one will crack your skull open or shoot you to get it.
Nice simple good quality watch - a classic win-win.
The watch is amazing, just what I expected from them - really easy readable clock face, classic design which fits both the T-shirts during your working week and casual style on a weekend. It's been a week - and the watch shows the time very precisely, second by second comparing with a laptop's clock. I love also the brand Indiglo backlight which unobtrusively helps you read the indications in a darkness. I am totallysatisfied with my purchase, it is definitely worth its price.
Happy With My Purchase
My first wristwatch, given to me when I was just 12 years old (1956!), was a very simple Timex like this one, only without the calendar. I have never had a watch better than a Timex. Really!
Recently, when I needed to purchase a new one, I was disappointed when I discovered that most stores don not sell good wristwatches these days. I had to search several stores before finding Timex watches, and when I did, they were not this nice, very simple, old-fashioned style. So, I turned to Amazon.com, which I should have done in the first place, and found it. The original one back in 1956 cost $10 ($71.22 in today's greenbacks). This time, I paid $31.80, and I got free shipping with my Prime membership.
I Truly Love My TIMEX T2H281
My newly purchased Timex Men's T2H281 is without doubt my favourite time piece ever. At less than $20 my T2H281 came well equipped with a lovely genuine black leather band, stylish circular stainless steel structural framework and, most importantly, exceedingly accurate time keeping mechanical technology. I truly respect the social status associated with my far more expensive Longines, Tag Heuer, Tissot and Rolex, but the time piece I will be wearing on my left wrist everyday will be my Timex; the other time pieces are now officially intergenerational transfers for my scion.
Five stars despite minor problem
I really like this watch as an everyday casual timepiece. Despite the five star rating, I changed the leather band to a stainless link bracelet type (just my preference) and I also had an issue with the date/time setting feature. After a short month I wanted to advance the date to the 1st and couldn't find the right position for the stem to move the date. I pulled too hard and the stem came completely out! It was re-inserted without a problem,
but I suspect it doesn't help with the water resistance. Other than that, I am fully satisfied.
Great watch, too small for me
Im giving it 5 stars because it deserves it, it really is a good lookibg watch, but its too small. I dont like huge watches, but Im a guy. This watch would be a great girls' watch I think. Or, maybe a guys' if youre into smaller watches. If youre into normal sized watches, or especially large watches, you wont like this.
I hated having to return it but it just wasnt big enough. It really lools good. Image is a comparison with a watch that would be considered normal sized by many, maybe small by guys who like big watches
