still love them, but mostly I just want a watch ...
I’m over big, bulky watches. I’ve got my Suunto and a couple G-Shock watches. I still wear them, still love them, but mostly I just want a watch that keeps nice, precise time, doesn’t stand out from my wrist 3/4 inch and hopefully looks juuuust a little dorky. I’m also cheap. Waterproofness is important to me. I work a desk job. I commute by bus or train- watches help with that. I like to go on a run a couple times a week and wear a watch. I don’t sleep or shower with my watch on unless I’m camping or in a hotel. I like digital over analog because I kind of like to know exactly what time I think it is and I only ever estimate when I’m reading an analog watch because I’m lazy.
Cool digital watch!
I own a couple quartz watches, an automatic watch, and wanted to try out a digital watch. For digital watches, Casio is the go-to! I got this style because I liked the classic sleek design, and I wanted one with a bit of matte gold to somewhat match with my matte gold wedding band.
I love this watch. I use it as my daily. I don't have to worry about trashing it, losing it, or getting it stolen for the reason that it's so affordable for the average person that I can always replace it with a new one. I've worn it on a vacation trip and wore it in the pool/ocean for hours without any damage.
Very sleek for the style it is.
I have had this watch for 1 day, but I love it so far. I’ve had digital watches in the past, but this one seems to stand out. The only downside is the light is pretty dim, and only lights up 1/3 of the face. But it’s not so much a complaint, because I knew it was a weak light, in order to save battery life. I’m only putting this here Incase someone didn’t know. All in all, I am very happy with this watch. Switching from FitBit to Casio, as I feel I have been too connected to smart devices and realized I mostly use my watch for it’s intended purpose…to tell time.
The Gold Standard Practical Watch
What could I say about an F91W that hasn't been said? It's a lightweight waterproof watch with a chrono/stopwatch, alarm, backlight, and costs $10 with a battery that probably lasts 5 years plus. It is the ultimate utility watch, that asks nothing of you and will take essentially any amount of abuse. Break it? Oh well, $10 for another one that's exactly like the one you have.
Not much to be said.
Theres not much to say about this watch. It just plain works. And it looks good. I wear it every day, it's easy to read, and it costs basically nothing so if I were to break it I would just buy another. The light is pitiful so don't expect to read it in the dark but it's really not a big deal to me.
Perfect for time and date
I have been wearing inexpensive Casio and Timex water resistant watches for years. They have lasted about 1.5-3 years, and I replace them when the battery dies. I shower with this watch, and the time/date is easily read. However, this watch has the worst built in light I have encountered. It barely illuminates the first digit of the time readout. If a light is important to you, this is not the watch to choose. This is listed with a 7 year battery. I am on month one.
Inexpensive but terrific everyday watch
For the last 20 years I’ve been wearing nothing but these CASIO wristwatches, even though I could afford a much more expensive watch. Because all I need anytime is to know the date, the time (AM or PM ), and to set an alarm now and then. Yet it also tells me day of the week and has other functions as well. As a frequent traveler, what I like most is that if I lose it I can replace it easily. Love the plastic band. Best all-around device for the average guy. You just can’t go wrong buying this.
