Reviews of Fitbit Blaze Smart Fitness Watch, Black, Silver, Large (6.7 - 8.1 Inch)

I find the other features useful such as the notifications
I have had this watch for 11 months and with the latest software update it gives me everything I could want in a fitness watch. Some of the negatives that others have pointed out such as the lack of GPS don't really affect me personally because i always have my phone with me and I use it when i want to track my walks. I find the other features useful such as the notifications. I no longer miss important calls or texts because my watch buzzes and alerts me while often i would not here or feel the buzzing of my phone. The reminder to walk is great at work - it makes me get up and get some exercise every hour which keeps me limber and i think helps me out mentally because if forces a break. I also like the fact that I can go a full 3-5 days without having to charge the watch - which is important to me since i wear it to track sleep and also use the alarm to wake me for work. Typically I just charge it a few times a week when I take it off for a shower or when sitting at my desk at work. There are enough differen

t choices as far as watch background to keep me satisfied. I hope that Fitbit continues to support this watch going forward - there are a few things I wish they would improve - it would be great to be able to set a quick alarm using the watch rather than the smartphone app, for example. One feature that I find to be very useful is that when i get up at night in the dark i can use the light from my watch to light my way. Very handy when trying to find the sink faucet when attempting to wash my hands in the dark! Just this week I had to order a new band because the original that came with it is starting to tear away from the clip. But I got almost a year out of it and I am rough on wearables so I am not complaining.

Being accountable
I LOVE my blaze. I've had another band for 4 years and I finally went ahead and made the jump to get a Fitbit. This is my first Fitbit ever. I enjoy just about every feature of this band. I've not had any problem so far. I chose the black band with silver around the sides. I like that I can buy other bands and pop my blaze in and out. It's versatile, so I can dress it up for nice occasions or I can wear my sporty black band for my exercises. The battery lasts about 4-5 days. It depends on how much I look at the watch. I'm constantly competing with friends, so I'm constantly looking at my band. The band did irritate my skin some, so I washed it really good and adjusted it and loosened it up on my arm a notch. The heart rate is pretty consistent and it doesn't have to be super tight to catch your heart rate. I've used my Fitstar a few times when I didn't have time to youtube a workout, or only had a short amount of time I could work out but wanted to be active. I enjoyed it, it made my heart rate amp up. I set up my silent alarms, which I used on my old band and prefer to wake up without a loud noise waking me up. I enjoy being able to see my texts while I'm working out without having to hold my phone. I've used the music feature 2 times and had no problems. I like the breakdown of my daily activity. I have the small size band, which fits with my 6.3 inch wrist size, I do have a couple notches available for weight gain, or weight loss.
I think that the app has improved, and that is the reason I jumped into the Fitbit world. I enjoy getting tips sent to my email to help me improve different aspects I'm trying to improve. I'm an avid weightlifter, and I compared the blaze to my actual heart rate monitor/Polar watch, and the were almost calorie for calorie burned and heart rate matched.
Overall, I highly recommend the blaze if you are needing a boost, competition, or all health monitoring.
