I don’t understand the hate.
I have to say that I was worried after I ordered my Invictus watch. There are so many people who passionately hate these watches. I don’t understand why. Are they a Rolex, no, but they also don’t carry a $10,000.00 price tag. I get it, a luxury time piece like Rolex or Omega, is an investment that you make, but I don’t have, or want, to spend that kind of money for a watch. Sorry, call me gauche. Having said all that, let’s review the watch. First, I just received it, so nothing here is about long term wear just initial reactions. The presentation is very nice. The box is very attractive (not that important, but worth mentioning). It is a big and heavy watch, for sure. If you prefer smartwatches, or just smaller lighter time pieces, you may want to pass on this one. I love the size and weight. It feels comfortable on my wrist and looks good, not disproportional. It does take a minute to get used to the 50 mm face and extra weight. The watch is beautiful to look at. It is a simpler design than some other Invictus watches. It is clean and sharp. The black and gold coloring really takes me back to my recent trip in Now Orleans and the passion of the Saints fans. It was running upon arrival, perhaps not so great, but the time was already set for me, a nice, albeit, unexpected treat. Finally, this is not my only watch so it will be in rotation with others, and that should prolong the life of this watch. Again, I am very pleased with this watch and feel I got much more than the price would suggest. Don’t believe that haters, try on on yourself and see what you think. I believe you will agree with me.
